THE SCIENTIFIC POTENTIAL OF THE HLRS FOR ART AND CULTURE EXPERIENCES IN THE DIGITAL AGE

MEDIA SOLUTION CENTER

Art and science have never been closer than now in the digital age.

The idea is unique! The focus of the MSC BW is to connect scientific and technical capacities to companies and projects in the media and cultural landscape.
The Media Solution Center BW, founded as a non-profit association, is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Art of Baden-Württemberg. This cooperation connects worlds and promises maximum synergies. The perspectives are spectacular!

ART OF SIMULATION

In the realm of media and creative areas, the need for computational time and algorithmic competence is increasing.

The Media Solution Center is the point of contact for companies from the film and media industry as well as institutions from the arts and culture industry, who want to use the resources and capacities of the High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart for animation and simulation projects.

The HLRS is the only super-computing center that can offer its expertise and capabilities to industry and business partners, public institutions, and community projects. This know-how enables the members of the MSC-BW to realize complex, demanding visionary projects.

The networking of information and innovations creates new impulses and potential.

The dynamics of the media age is a significant challenge. What is innovative - and for how long? Many topics, many questions. The answers to these questions are part of our understanding of responsibility. As a communication center, the MSC BW takes on the enormous task of gathering information, networking, and publishing.

Only excellent communication enables artists and their projects to be promoted and experienced and, to change the world through art.

If we change the perception of reality, are we changing reality itself?

As the organizer of new formats, the Media Solution Center creates a cooperation framework to enable entirely new artistic and cultural experiences. With the first e-Culture-Festival, a unique combination of digital technology and art connects to the life of the visitors.

Realism or surrealism is a thing of the past. It's about transforming the world according to one's desires - e-Arts brings new options into play. The MSC provides support for art and science institutions to keep pace with developments.

Complexity as a challenge, scientific support as a prerequisite.

Enormous computing power is necessary for animation and simulation when it comes to innovative or interactive presentations. The Media Solution Center offers even more for its members. Creativity develops visions that transcend previous boundaries that do not rely on past experiences. This approach provides entry into new territories.

At this point, the standards of science and research come in. An interface in which the MSC BW, as a non-profit association, makes membership projects possible through the provision of funding for academic support.
